Probably rearranged fromn the 13th May due to Toppers injury.

Unfortunately, the original date of May 13, 1980 is listed incorrectly everywhere. The date is also stated on the ticket, but the concert was postponed to June 5th. The location Metropol also changed, the concert was in the New World (at that time still without "Huxley's"). - Formicula

Berliner Morgenpost

May 29, 1980

"The highlight in the upcoming days is a concert should be the spirited British formation, The Clash from Brixton, London. The quartet, which has been part of the punk movement from the beginning and has since evolved into a major band, will be performing on June 5th in the Neue Welt on Hasenheide. “

with the kind support of Peter E. Müller

Berlin - Neue Welt, Hasenheide Park

Neue Welt in Berlin is a historic venue that has served as a significant cultural and entertainment site. Neue Welt is situated in Hasenheide Park, which is a large park in Neukölln bordering the Kreuzberg district [7][11].

The former beer palace located at the eastern end of Hasenheide Street in the Neukölln district of Berlin[1] and has been used as a location for beer gardens since 1867[1].

It was first mentioned in the Vossische Zeitung on April 23, 1880, when it was announced that restaurateur Rudolf Sternecker had taken over the establishment[1]. The venue hosted its first major concert shortly after, with music often provided by numerous military bands during those years[1].

Attractions at the site included the "Indian Hall," a large pond with fountains and cascades, a hippodrome, an open-air riding arena, and a hall for the "Ball champetrie" or "Country Ball"[1]. - A notable feature of the park was the electric railway, which Werner von Siemens had already introduced in 1879[1].

Current Use. Huxleys Neue Welt is now a popular location for concerts by international artists and exciting show and sports events in the middle of Berlin-Neukölln[3]. The concert hall can accommodate up to 1,600 visitors and includes a spectator grandstand[3]. The renovated event center also hosts boxing matches, fashion shows, and tattoo festivals[3].
