I saw The Clash at Bonds - excellent
Facebook page - The Clash played a series of 17 concerts at Bond's Casino in New York City in May and June of 1981 in support of their album Sandinista!. Sound quality
The band open with a instrumental London Calling for over 3 minutes before Joe stretches his vocals. This is a poor tape.
Its very distant and has some noise which degrades the clarity, though it is not distorted. It occasionally has some tape warble as well.
There is also an amazing take 2 short jamming/wailing bass and drum White Man following the original. Well worth the tape just to hear this and the London Calling Instrumental intro. Joe seems in no mood to sing as Bankrobber runs a couple of minutes before larynx are tickled. Guns of Brixton is edited and fades out.

30TH ANNIVERSARY UPGRADED VERSION
Exactly 30 years ago today The Clash played their last Italian show in Genova, Italy.This is the only known version of that concert and I want share it, to remember that day.The sound is far from perfect or good. May be considered sufficient only if one considers the place, a large round-shaped building, built completely with concrete, iron, steel and glass ... can someone imagine a worst venue to host a concert?... and the recording equipments of that period.
In any case, I've decided to share it, thinking that will be liked by many collectors because is quite rare to find.I've edited a bit the sound right to make it more clear and this went good but the echoes aren't editable and this is probably the better audio that is possible obtain about this gig. Any upgrade or better version would be obviously welcome.
Known lineage: unkn gen copy (possibly low) by trade > Audacity 2.0 wav audio editing and tracks splitting > FLAC frontend flac audio files encoding (level=5), ffp flac files fingerprints > mkwACT md5 whole file set signature> dime>.
