Distorted a lot - Sound 2 - 1hr 26mins - ?? gen - 24 tracks
Are You ready for War?
Sound quality
A recording that suffers distortion due to the over amplification of the recorder. Most of the loss in sound comes from the bottom end but the vocals remain quite clear, as does to a lesser degree the top end in general. Still not an easy listen. Link to Satch's

I saw The Clash exactly twice: first (with Mick Jones) on October 15, 1982, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at William & Mary Hall; and second (sans Mick Jones), on April 6, 1984, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, at Carmichael Auditorium. Notably, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five opened for them in '82 hot on the trail with "The Message."

Carmicael Auditorium, Universiity of North Carolina, Chapel Hill NC
Carmichael Auditorium, now known as Carmichael Arena, is a multi-purpose arena at 310 South Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 9. It was originally built as an annex to Woollen Gymnasium, sharing the older facility's eastern wall. The auditorium was completed with 65,112 square feet of space and initially seated just over 8,800 people. However, it was expanded to 10,000 seats in 1976 1.
The auditorium was named after William D. Carmichael Jr., a highly popular figure on campus who served as the university's comptroller, then as its vice-president. He also served for many years as the Consolidated University's acting president 16.
Before the Dean Smith Center opened in 1986, North Carolina played its basketball games inside Carmichael Auditorium. The Tar Heels men's basketball team had a record of 169-20 (.894) when the auditorium was its full-time home 4.
The auditorium was known as one of the loudest arenas in the country while the Tar Heel men played there, largely because of a low roof and a student section that ringed the court 1. In addition to basketball, Carmichael Auditorium has hosted concerts for a wide range of genres 2. However, the acoustics of the auditorium were not always well-received by musicians and concert-goers 1.
The auditorium underwent renovations and was officially renamed Carmichael Arena in 2010. The state-of-the-art facility now has a capacity of 6,822 and is home to the UNC Women's Basketball team, as well as the volleyball and gymnastics teams 16, 18.

J Bonasia Review
Joe Strummer is an easy man to hate. The Clash leader often comes off as an arrogant and self-righteous, a man who spouts political dogma without offering any real solutions. Still, few can deny he is a first-rate rocker, as he demonstrated in concert Friday night in. Carmichael Auditorium. Alt link
