A low gen tape with bootleggers artwork, though the white sleeve and sound suggest maybe a a copy or two on though the unmarked new tracks suggest also a tape from before the albums release.
Probably has the best sound of the 5 nights at the Academy.

Guardian article online or archived PDF
In 1982 Simon Parkes bought a rundown cinema in south London for £1 and for a glorious decade brought music's biggest names to the Brixton Academy. Here he remembers gigs with the Clash, egg and chips with Eric Clapton and hosting the country's first-ever legal raves.
“"The most memorable moment for me was the opening number of the Clash [in March 1984], which was a big breakthrough for the Academy," says Parkes. "They played London Calling, and watching 5,000 people go absolutely mental gave me this feeling in my stomach that was somewhere between the adrenaline of a near car crash and your first kiss from a really hot girl you fancy.”

Brixton academy 1984. You can see the gob raining in.
Update: didn’t think this post would cause such a debate on the whole gobbing thingThere was definitely gobbing at the Brixton gig and from memory Joe called it out (I’m not going on the witness stand on this though!). This photo was taken on Friday the 6th of December 1984. There’d been a fight behind me and I’d climbed on to the edge of the stage to avoid it. The bouncers tried to kick me off but Paul shooed them away.
They did play Brixton previously that year on the 16th and 17th of March. I also saw them at the Manchester Apollo on the 11th of February 1984.
Sadly I was too young to see the ‘real’ Clash, as I was 9 in 1977 and they never played Manchester in 1982 when I started going to gigs. Instead I saw all the original band members in their subsequent incarnations. Not the same I know I know, but thems the breaks.
I did see Topper Headon play in Manchester in in 1986 I think it was at Umist??, and sadly the gig was poorly attended. My mate and I danced up front the whole time anyway, and afterwards Topper came and thanked us and invited us backstage. He ended up walking me to Piccadilly Station to meet my Dad, who was picking me up.
