Tiffany's Purley
Tiffany's was a nightclub located on the Brighton Road in Purley, a town in South London 3 4. The club opened in May 1950 and originally hosted dance nights, sporting events, and rock concerts 3.
By the late 1970s, Tiffany's had become a popular disco venue, known for its lively nightlife and music scene 4.
In 1978, there were complaints about Tiffany's door policy, with four teenagers being denied entry, allegedly due to "a lot of punch ups" at the club. This led to the venue's contract not being renewed 4.
The nightclub was part of a chain of Tiffany's clubs owned by the entertainment company Mecca, with locations in various cities across the UK 4. After Tiffany's closed, the building was taken over by a gym called Dynamics 3.

The bouncers confiscated everyone's DM laces on the way in
Neil Sizen - Was at Tiffany’s Purley on the same tour
Pete Horsler - Me & Ian Griffiths were at the Sort it Out Tour gig at Tiffany's in Purley, we were only 15 & was on a school night, & we had to walk the 4 miles home, as spent all our money on lager. The bouncers confiscated everyone's DM laces on the way in. Was a top night, couldn't hear a thing next day at school as my ears were still ringing....Great memories.
Steve Siret - I saw them in Purley, just south of Croydon on this tour, 18th December - would have been my 2nd time seeing them
