Portsmouth Locarno
The Locarno was a popular music venue located at 31 Arundel Street in Portsmouth, England that hosted concerts in the 1970s and 1980s 3. The venue opened on May 4, 1964.
Later on, the Locarno became known as the Ritzy 3. While the search results confirm the Locarno's history as a concert hall, they do not provide any specific details about the interior or exterior of the building itself. No photos or descriptions of the venue's architecture or layout are included.

I first saw the Clash in 1978 at the Portsmouth Locarno, changed my life,inspired me to wanna play Rock n roll, iv been in bands since then ,been fortunate to play with some great band mates and meet some great people along the way. I gotta say I'm truly blessed to have a great bunch of guys in our band The Clashnikovs, were NOT trying to be a clash covers band. Weve written some great originals ,which will be available soon! & Play in the spirit of 76-80. The soundtrack of my youth ! Were virtually OAP,s now ( old angry punks !) But the power of the music takes us back to the ' no fear exhuberence of youth' if u havnt done so.plesse check out the Clashnikovs Facebook page,give us a like say hi. Step lightly,,Stay Free. Russell Maw - I was at that gig; backstage Mick had a HUGE row with Viv. Mick Jones girlfriend was Viv Albertine the lead guitarist in the Slits. I was with the band backstage and we were listening to them having a huge shouting match. Mick was very upset. Ari was holding her stomach and crying with laughter. You could always get backstage to The Clash in those days.
Jim Rogerson - Will always remember it being pitch black then a blinding flash of light and the intro to "Safe european home". The floor bouncing the most ive ever experienced at a locarno gig. An amazing night and my favourite Clash gig
