UNDER THE banner of “The Clash Sort It out”, the band next month begin their longest-ever British tour. It will include several Loildon dates in early December, details to be announced shortly. Meanwhile, confirmed gigs are:

Bournemouth Village Bowl (November 9), Malvern Winter Gardens (10), Coventry Locarno (14), Manchester BeIe Vue (15), Middlesbrough Town Hall (17), Leeds University (18), Sheffield Top Rank (19), Leicester De Montfort HaIl (20), Bristol Locarno (21), Birmingham odeon (22), Ipswich Gaumont (23), Derby Kings Hall (24), Cardiff Top Rank (26), Exeter University (27), Hanley Victoria Hall (29), Velerborough Wirrana Stadium (30), LiverpooI venue to be set (December 1) Newcastle Polytechnic (3) and Glasgow Strathclyde (4 and 5).

The CIash’s long-awaited second album “Give`Em Enough Rope”, containing ten new tracks penned by Joe Strunimer and Mick Jones, is issued by CBS on November 10. And their latest singIe, titled “Tommy Gun”, is released the same day.

- The band’s much-delayed concert at London Harlesden Roxy was called off again last Saturday, due to Iast-minute accommodation restrictions imposed by Ihe GLC. It will now take place over two nights on October 25 and 26 tickets numbered from 1 to 900 will be valid on the first njght, and over that should be used for the second show.
