Audio recording 1 Several sources exist for this much recorded gig: The first one is the best, clearer and nearer just, though the others are good too. It may contain 3 or 4 minutes of sound from exiting the gig. It splits at the end of Tony Adams. A second with just as good a sound also splits after Tony Adams. this one is from master also Video recording - Audience shot All are very good sounding recordings that are spoilt only by a touch of echo from the large venue. The hometown gig or should that be Somerset/Bristol?. Anyhow a rubble of a venue and a rabble of crowd surrounded by spivs and idiocy. The gig wasn't sold out but the 4,500 venue was mostly full. The moshers taking up 20 to 30 deep. The band came out, as at Bristol, charged in front of at least one pro-cameraman. An energetic performance with Joe in full voice despite his early energy rush trying to smash a mic back in its stand. The usual set list was fused together by a more talkative lead singer. Always engaging Joe offered thanks to the bloke who gave him his first pint of the day and said "Yeh, go on (then), I'll have a pint a Cider" as the second drenching of the evening the followed from down the front. Joe even broke off for an amnesty appeal on behalf of an imprisoned Brummie, the victim of white racist attack. The whole place went up as the run for home began and as at the other venues, Blitzkreig Bop went down excellent as a final track. His parting words from a drenched tired vocalist, " I really enjoyed that, thanks". Did you go? What do you remember? |
