Tropic of No Return

This recording has a decent sound at times distracted by some noise, serious big hall echo, loads of crowd noise and mic problems.

At subtler moments it is one of the better/best 1988/89 recordings as it has great clarity and sharp sound for an audience recording. London calling is cut at 1.20.

This particular copy came with 4 tracks added on the end from Mick playiing at NYC Palladium 28 Sep 91.

Video recording - audience
Decent, decent audio (3)
Size 704x480 - fps 29.97 - time 01_27_43
Decent quality video, handheld, shot from the front, decent audio

At the end there is a news report, 'MTV: This week in Rock' which contains briefly live footage plus amn interview. It lasts 3:46. The venue for this is unknown.

While on tour working with the Buzzcocks in 1989 we went to the Santa Monica Civic show (Buzzcocks played their a few days after) of Joe's. One of the guy's working with us, Paul O'Reily (aka Suspect) had worked with Joe before. I remember coming to to Civic in a limo with the Buzzcocks and getting booed by Joe's fans.

The show was pretty good but I wasn't that impressed by the band and the venue has pretty bad sound and everyone got their pics with Joe. Sadly it was Paul O'Reily's camera and he killed himself a year later so I never got my copy. After the gig we all went to Johnny Depps Viper Room. I remember talking to a very drunk Joe and at the end of the night he fell on the pavement outside and I had to pik him up.
